We would like to present to you a part of the ancient fountain, in the form of a mask.
Fountain mask in Pietra Serena depicting a stylized lion's head or a grim Tatar face; it is somewhat illegible due to missing parts in the lower section corresponding to the fountain outlet, which makes identification difficult, while also giving it a charm of ambiguity.
Visible traces of iron oxide on the forehead. Likely from the early 20th century.
