Today we would like to present to you a beautiful engraving depicting a Parisian galley.

A large engraving taken from the Diderot Encyclopedia published in Paris, depicting a galley viewed from the side with drawings of anchors titled in the center Marine Dessein d'une Galere à la Rame nommée la Réale.


Bottom left: Gaussier sur les desseins de M.r Belin ingénieur de la Marine, and finally bottom left: Bernard Fecit. The image is in good condition, with overpainting on the back, presented in a passe-partout, in a modern lacquered and marble-effect wood frame in shades of blue.

It comes from a private collection of nautical antiques in Milan.
