Today, we would like to present to you a unique mirror from 1600. It is undoubtedly a gem that can enhance any modern or classic interior!
Octagonal antique Roman frame from 1600 with gilded bronze details and hard stones, built in a box of walnut wood with ebonized moldings; it is entirely covered with engraved and gilded copper plates with cast bronze finishes placed at the corners. Similarly, on the outer perimeter along the central line of the sides, there is a carved molding consisting of two volutes connected by a shell — one at the bottom left has been restored; identical applications can be found in an ancient similar frame on the website. 105 Directory of the European Frame edited by A. Montanari and R. Lodi, Correggio 2003.
At the two upper and lower ends, where the shells are located, there are gilded friezes depicting the face of a cherub. The inner part is decorated with hard stones, eight striped agates of various qualities, oval and convex, arranged in the middle of each side of this original 17th-century octagonal frame.

The frame is supplied with a mercury mirror. This rare and unique Roman artifact has been fully restored and is now in good condition, ready to be hung as a small mirror from the period.
