Today, we would like to present to you an extraordinary and large bronze sculpture. Annibale De Lotto - a nude boy bitten by a crab.

A large bronze sculpture depicting a young fisherman covered only by a loincloth, intending to observe his right foot bitten by a crab, which is present on the base.

Height: 106 cm (including the base). This cast is signed De Lotto on the back of the base by the Venetian sculptor Annibale De Lotto (San Vito di Cadore, 1877 – Venice, 1932).


This large bronze sculpture dates from the early 20th century, originates from a Milanese collection, and is in excellent condition with a beautiful dark patina that emphasizes its precise anatomical depiction and the elegant plasticity of the twisting bust of the young man.

The maximum depth size of the sculpture, from hand to foot, is 65 cm, with a maximum width of 37 cm, while the marble base measures 5 cm in height and is oval-shaped.
