We are pleased to present to you the original portrait of a young girl from 1904.
Corinna Modigliani Portrait of a Little Girl Rome 1904 Oil painting on canvas depicting a young girl elegantly dressed in a white and light blue dress with short sleeves, white shoes, and light blue stockings. The girl is portrayed standing quietly in domestic life, in a garden against a wall.

The charm of this early 20th-century Roman-era painting lies precisely in the girl's dreamy gaze with a fan and the skillful use of colour. The oil paints have been applied very delicately here, creating a balanced and harmonious composition, where green and dark shades of the background contrast with the misty and luminous lights of the elegant dress.

The painting bears the signature Corinna Modigliani Rome 1904 in the lower left corner, it comes from a private collection in Milan and is in good condition, the first canvas with a re-painted frame in a light ivory colour. The dimensions provided refer to the size of the frame, and the frame itself measures 90 cm x 50 cm.

Corinna Modigliani (Rome 1871-1959), daughter of a wealthy Roman-Jewish middle-class family, worked in both landscape and still life, but particularly favored portraiture. In her creative work, she preferred portraits related to childhood, characterized by lively technique and a palette of proven skills, primarily aimed at private clients. Her works are part of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome.
